Team Championship, Tour Championship on Tap; Championships Season Nearing Close

The format for the Team Championship is a 36-hole stroke play team competition. The low 3 of 4 individual gross scores each day will represent the team’s aggregate. In the event of a tie for the Team Championship, the unused individual’s score of the final round will be counted. If teams are still tied, then the unused individual’s score of the first round will be counted. Should the tie still exist, duplicate awards will be issued.

A tie for the low individual score will result in co-medalist and awards distributed between those that are tied.

The OGA Tour Championship is an invitation-only event which is based on 2022 OGA Tour Season Point Standings. The format is 36 holes and includes both an individual stroke play competition and a partner series division with a four-ball format.

Rounding out the 2022 championships schedule is the 74th Hudson Cup and 31st Senior Hudson Cup which will be administered Oct. 20-21 at Tacoma G&CC.

Played in a format similar to the Ryder Cup, the Hudson Cup pits 10 of the best amateur players from Washington and Oregon against the top 10 Pacific Northwest Section PGA professionals. The Senior Hudson Cup matches the top 10 Pacific Northwest Section PGA senior members against the top 10 senior amateurs from Washington and Oregon.

The Oregon Golf Association (OGA) and Washington Golf (WA Golf) work together to select a total of 10 amateurs and 10 senior amateurs to compete against the professionals. Of the 10 players in each category, five represented the OGA and five represented WA Golf. Amateur team members were selected based on season-long performance points earned through each respective Association.
